Arrow setting up a hdd with a Forwarder

im new to this web site so ....Hello.....
i just bought a WD 1tb hdd i was looking over GEN3SF's tut but it doesnt go into detail about setting up partitions for a Forwarder....a 2gb sd card isnt enough space for all the way cool HB and roms out there.

i all so would like some recommendations on how big the partitions should be...
i was thinking about half for wii iso's the rest for storing homebrew(roms),music, dvd files

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Im running a (LU39) 4.1U(originally 3.4U) WII soft modded(banner bomb)
with a WD MY BOOK essential 1TB hdd(over kill maybe)

probably 200GB for fat32 and 800GB for WBFS will be sufficient. HB are not that big that you should not need to go bigger than that.

As for a forwarder there is a forwarder made by usb loader gx available at their site for games. As for forwarders for other HB you will probably have to learn to make custom ones most forwarders are centered around games and the like.

Just be aware that forwarders still take up quite a bit of Wii memory for which much of it is regularly used for game saves.

    Welcome to the site.
A moderator should be around shortly for a formal welcome.

I have minimal channels and around 100 game saves and have used just over half. It was just an FYI that i figured you should be aware of.

ok i have the partitions on my hdd done now im having a prob installing the ios wads....i dont want to assume which ios ver to install on both CIOS installer(ios38?) and cios 222 installer(ios222?) i looked at GEN3SF's TUT an the wads dont seem to be included in the file i downloaded using the link he provided(prob illegal?) ....... can someone point me to where i can download the ios wads ( i know someones going to tell me to go GOOGLE MYSELF )

i found a program called NUS Downloader......wiki" NUS Downloader is a PC Utility designed to allow easy access to the resources present on Nintendo's Update Servers. Using this tool, you can download, pack, and decrypt many system titles into WADs ready to install."

if you have wifi or you can connect your Wii to the net. No wads are needed when you go to install select online to do it. You would be best to install cIOS38 rev15 or your choice in this series as well as hermes installer for 222 and 223. RB and GH series really like to use the 222 or 223.

    Thumbs up Wad program

All wad can be grabbed using this program. I believe there is a guide of how to use it on the site.
