    Help please

I have to send my wii back to nintendo to get the disc drive repaired and i went thru the instructions to make my wii a "virgin" again and everything seemed to work just fine but when i turn the wii on it still boots up in priiloader. When i try to go the the system menu it says "Couldnt find hacks.ini neither on FAT nor on NAND. What do i need to do? I has to be sent back today or its out of warranty. Please can somebody help me

You didn't do a very good job of removing the mods did you.

Priiloader can be uninstalled by it's installing boot.dol. If you still have HBC launch it with that, otherwise use bannerbomb files to launch the boot.dol of priiloader when placed at root of SD.

I'm not sure as I don't know the procedure off the top of my head, it's just that Priiloader should be gone before you remove HBC and other channels from the Wii, or at least I'd think it should be.

Anyway uninstalling shouldn't be too difficult.

Shouldn't NAND Clean have removed PriiLoader/Preloader?

Probably should of. It's a tricky thing to remove every trace and at least the OP does actually have a genuine reason for taking the risk. Most people do it because they think they'll be able to softmod better the second time.

heh, to be honest with you....that was my reason for doing it [also because of cIOSCORP, we won't get into that]. Well that and the experience of doing it.
