Question 002 Error Please Help :)

Hi Everyone, I am brand new to this site and desperately seeking help. I'm a single mom with a 4 year old son who loves our WII. We had an iomega brand USB loader put on our WII last year through one of my ex's friends and I can't get any new games to load onto it. I tried Super Mario Brothers, Spongebob Truth or Square, and Cars Raceorama, and Scooby Doo First Frights. All of them look like they are downloading into our USB Loader but then don't come up to play and give the 002 error. Sorry I'm "hacker illiterate" so if you guys could please please make some suggestions in laymens terms I would appreciate it greatly! Thanks!

A simple search would have answered this.

Maybe, but I don't think it would hurt us to help a single mom out by saving her the time to filter through search results...

I can appreciate the problem of being a single mom, but searching and reading guides is a must for anyone who softmods their wii. Reading is how people not only figure out what to do, but also what not to do. How many people have we seen end up in the bricked wii forum section because they failed to read and really understand what and why they were doing something?

I help plenty of people out with questions, and if her question were something with risk involved I would have given the answer. Simple fact is, if everyone has simple answers handed to them, learning does not take place. Learning what and why something must be done is a must as new problems and fixes are always arising.

Silver platter- use neogamma7 in my signature. It has a built in 002 fix. Also if you're using another launcher, ensure the 002 option is turned on.

Not to get of the subject of helping... But our main reason for asking her questions is so we can point her in the correct directon so that we can educate her and she can read those tutorials...

    thanks

I agree, but as you can read in her OP she didn't mod the Wii herself, and the person who did is no longer 'available' to her. A single mom has other things on her mind then learning why exactly this happens. I'd rather she spend her time on the kid while we help her help us help her (that's not a typo).

And let's face it; most of us here (though not all) have time to play game-after-game-after-game or we wouldn't be modding our Wii's. We should be able to spare a minute for her...

But anyway, we're off-topic here. Feel free to retort (either here or by pm), but I'll be limiting my replies in this thread to ones that help.

    Cheers!

Since the person who modded the wii isn't around anymore just goes to show why it is important learn everything possible. Soon new issues are going to come up like needing to install and update ios's needed for new games. That can be very dangerous bricky ground if one does not read and fully understand the what and why's of it.

To the single mom original poster, I have a 4 month old girl and recognize time constraints. YOU can pm me if you're ever unsure of where to look. You can destroy a wii pretty quick when you act without understanding. (Not that you are now)

I fond it ironic that you found it quicker to make a new thread too one of the most commonly asked questions, failed to read my stickied post about commonly asked questions and thought it was faster too just ask.
