    Quick Question.

    Sup guys.

I was about to use the 3.1-4.1 Softmod tutorial on my 3.4 Wii. I found out that Priiloader doesn't work on 3.4, but I need it since Bootmii can only be installed as IOS on my Wii. I know I need to install the ISO 60-patched.

I need to know should I use Wankiniko's 4.1 updater or should I borrow Wii sports resort and it has 4.1 Disc update check on the original disk and I could do it I only added this option since I heard that people have had problems with Wankiniko's updater.

Both ways would put me at 4.1 which is perfect. My wii is still currently a Virgin wii.

So which update should I do???

3.1-4.1 Softmod Tutorial (Works on all wii's!)

    Wii 4.1u | Bootmii (IOS) | Priiloader 0.2 (Rev 32) | HBC 1.0.6 | Neogamma R8 Beta 7 and Neogamma RC3* | USB Loader GX REV 919

I would, in all honestly, just follow the guide and use Waninkokos SAFE 4.1 updater thats included. I've done numerous Wiis with this same technique and never had any problems with the updating part. And yes preloader ONLY works on 3.2, 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 [we DO NOT recommend you update to 4.2 though]. So it's really up to you if you definately want preloader, your gonna have to go to another System Menu in order to do so.

yes I know. I WANT priiloader as I can only install Bootmii as IOS. I want the extra protection and be able to access HBC if I ever do brick and can't get into the System Menu.

Uhm would Waninkoko's updater work for me and update everything needed? Would priiloader work after I use it.

I've just read people who have used that updater and there screen like flips and they have problems fixing it and then most people brick there wii's. xD Don't wanna brick mine.

So would it work all good? Or should I use a Disc updater from Nintendo for 4.1?

The "flip" that you are speaking of is actually the HBC that is effected. The "flip" happens because the HackMii team dislikes pirates, so they play a nice little joke on them. As soon as you trucha your IOSs the HBC "flips". All you would have to do if this happens is re-install HBC and it will be back to normal. I would recommend just following the quide step by step and update to 4.1 so you can utilize Preloader/Priiloader.

You could by all means use the disc to update to 4.1 if you wish and then follow the tutorial [bypassing the update part of course]. They will work the same. I have just used the guide to do everything and never updated via the big N.

Thanks very much for the information. So if the safe 4.1 updater works good then I guess I could just follow the whole guide.

Both would work, so It really wouldn't matter which I pick...

    Thanks sOur, you rock!

No problem, if you have any other questions with the mod you are attempting, please come back to ask the question.

    Good Luck!
