DVDX 4.2E D3-2 Wii Limited Edition

    Hi There,

I recently bought a wii limited edition (black). I want to be able to watch dvd's on my Wii. I've already softmoded my old wii, so i know most of the stuff going on. But I only want to be able to watch dvd's, so no HBC and Bootmii. so no softmodding except for the DVDx part. Can I just install DVDx without HBC and Bootmii? Or will this cause problems (maybe result in bricks?) or will it not work?
    Thanks in advance,

    Griffin

P.S. I'm not going to buy me a DVD player no matter how cheap they are. I have sunk al my money in a new tv and Wii, and you gotta watch your money in these days of crisis. I just want to watch a DVD occaisionally (that's about once or twice every month)

Your wii is not capable of playing dvds because it is the new D3-2 board. What you can do is rip your movies to .avi and use mplayer ce to play them. Thats about all you can do now.

Motivation alone is not enough. If you have an idiot and you motivate him, now you have a motivated idiot.

stop being a tight ass and just buy a dvd player, or burn out the lense on your wii and probably pay 4x the amount of a dvd player.
