Hard Drive Question
I have read alot before posting, I just want to get some opinions on this.
I bought a Seagate FreeAgent Go 320 HD yesterday because I had been using a Cruzer 8GB thumb drive and ran out of space. When I try to load Super Mario Galaxy off the Freeagent it never makes it past the first cutscene. At first I thought it might have been the iso so I did some reading and research and learned about the Freeagents spin down. I plugged the drive back into my computer and set the spindown from 5 minutes to never and tried again, and it still didn't work. To ensure that it wasn't the iso I checked put it on the Cruzer and it worked just fine.
I am work now, but I reformatted the Freeagent before I left this morning in FAT and then in WBFS through WBFS manager and started reinstalling the isos to the drive before I left so that I could check it at lunch.
Could I have just gotten a bad drive, or should I look at a different model altogether? Ideas?
From what I've read free agents can have some problems. I went with WD myself, got a 500 GB my book at walmart and it works great.
