Talking Hi all, new on here

Hi all, im John from the UK, just got my new Wii Black through today and wanted to know where to start so I can play games from DVD or Hard Drive.

Not sure how to tell what version number it is or anything, what has to be done first?

    Please can someone help?

    Thanks

    John

You may find your new Wii has the new drive chip D3-2, this will prevent you playing backup DVD's but you will be able to use original discs and usb loaders.

    Check you serial number. http://www.wiidrives.com/list?v_cont...&v_perpage=100

As this is your first post here is some info that you will need

2009 Wii Serial numbers after LU3884XXXX and LEH2676XXXX have probably got the new D3-2 chip that prevents playing backup DVD's. They can still use original discs and USB loaders.

I hope you have a great time here at WiiHacks, and increase your knowledge of all things Wii.
