You can install it as a channel [make sure it's the USB Loader GX channel and not the foreworder, the foreworder is just a shortcut to the program that resides on your SD card] and then be able to take out your SD and still be able to use the loader. But be aware that if you don't have an SD card or a USB HDD formatted with a fat32 partition, that you WILL NOT be able to download cover art for the games.

Just put the SD card into your computer and delete it from there [in the apps folder] you can try googling for USB Loader GX Channel [but remember not a foreworder, you need the full channel, it will be close to 7mb as the foreworder would be more like 2mb]

That is correct, but as I said before, you will be unable to download and save cover or disc art for the games.

After I format a partition on the USB HDD to FAT32, do I need to do anything else for the USB loader to use the HDD (download cover etc.) or it'll automatically use the HDD instead of the SD? Anything else the FAT32 partition can be used for (save game, store WAD)?

    Thanks.
