how can I play backup games

Wondering how to go about playing games on Wii using softmod

I have done alll the twilight hack and installed HBC all good (I think)
The channel is up and I can select certain things to install from my SD card

Q 1 how do I play downloaded games from .ISO format
Q 2 how do I play nds games

    Heres what I tried

Burnt ISO @ x4 using IMGBurn
Whacked the disc into wii - cant read disc

So I tried Installing cIOS Installer v7, but errored during that install.

My current firmware is 4.2 U, and I think that might be the issue as need to downgrade firmware, how do

    I achieve this?

did you follow a guide that installed hombrew only no ios files and no cios?
did you recently update to 4.2 after this was done? what channel are you using to launch backup disks?

You cannot donwgrade safely from 4.2 yet. You re-modded your console with the 4.2 guide? Twilight hack means nothing anymore, especially if you updated to 4.2.

The 4.2 update completely kills any mods that were previously done. Plus it installs a stubIOS249 that has to be removed before installing any cIOS [which is used for backup launching].

Just follow the "Full Hacking Guide for 4.2 System Menus" in my link to make sure you do everything correctly. Don't just go haphazardly uninstalling stuff your not sure about.
