Blank Stare - help boot to Bootmii

Downloaded Pack and inserted SD - all three HBC/DVDx/Bootmii all show that they can be installed. installed the HBC and DVDx with success and installed Bootmi as boot2 and it said it was a success.

when I load the files to exterminate stub ios249 and put them on a SD card - nothing shows up on the HBC. just bubbles. So I am not able to load cios38rev14.

what am I doing wrong? Did the Bootmii take as it said? How do I run Bootmii or what should it look like?

just curious if before you get going on this any further. did you do a nand backup as the guide suggests? and back it up to your pc. if anything goes wrong from this point you can get back and it may save ya. as for the files i always back them up to the pc, reformat fat32 and then extract or add the next set of files.
bootmi will load (if installed as boot2) when the wii start if the proper files from the instalation are present.

yes, this is the step you would want to do before putting those files on there to exterminate the stub ios249.

Those who were able to install bootmi as boot2 SHOULD BACKUP THEIR NAND RIGHT AWAY!!! If bootmii was isntalled as ios, then you dont need this step, although you can make one just in case. Mind that you will need a Gamecube controller tho if bootmii was an ios

this will protect you if something goes wrong and you will know for sure if bootmi installed correctly

I took the files from the installation of Bootmii and moved them to a file on my PC and then loaded the others after I reformatted the SD card again. Not sure if I resarted the wii with the SD card after install.

does this install Bootmii? do I have to have that in the slot everytime I start the Wii?

excellent you did good. there should be a folder named bootmi with 3 files in it, from the files you backed up. that is what is needed to run bootmi. and no you don't have to keep that in the sd card to run the wii. i just wanna make sure you create a save point before you begin to modify system files. if you restat the wii with those files on the sd card, bootmi should startup. if you need instructions on how to operate bootmi i will go look for a guide.

The problem I have now is that I used the utility to uninstall ios249 then lsed cios38rev14 and selected do not reload IOS. nothing worked. Now when I run the same utility - It wants to install on ios249. when I press the A button - the controler quits working and I have to reboot with the same results over and over.
