    Using Ios 36(rev 3351)
    Region USA
    Hollywood version 0x11
    Getting certs.sys from the Nand

Found 18 IOS on this console

    Analyzed IOS70(rev 6687)...
    Trucha Bug : Enabled
    Flash Access : Disabled
    Boot2 access : Disabled
USB 2.0 IOS TREE : Disabled

Press the reset button to continue

And it appears as if this also disconnects the controller and I have to mash on the power button to reset as well.

If anyone can help me to get this to work, it will certainly make me appreciate the wii I had running before my nephew formatted the drive and started this mess.
you just need to push the reset button as instructed by the app.

You did not finish the signcheck program. Run it again, when it says to push reset, push reset. You will do that many times. When your done post the signcheck.cvs file from your sd-card.

You don't have cios249. Go to the 4.2 guide below and install your cios. You will probably need to delete the evil stub 249 first. Did you delete it? How did all of your ios end up with trucha? Dop ios?
