USB loaders & What CIOS games use to run thread.

Hey Folks. I'm currently running games of my HDD using cover flow & USB loader gx. also using R8 gamma, all part of the one problem so to speak.

I was reading the thread "what CIOS games use to run". the only thing is, i cant find the part that tells you what and how to install the new cios's.

Can anyone tell me what exactly i should be doing, so i can just use one loader to play my backups... or do diferent loaders have to be used to play different games. hope this makes sense.. any help would be great.

    Thanks for loking,

    A

Wait a minute. Back up and re-read that threads title again. It says "what ios' games use to run". There is a difference between a cios and an ios. A ios is nintendo and cios are custom created ios'. Dealing with cios', youll want to install cios38 rev14. Ios that your talking about is in that thread. For instance... NSMB uses ios53 so in order to get that game to run, youll have to have the newest ios53 wad installed on your console. To get ios' installed, you install those via wad manager. Cios' you use the cios installer to install those.

Installing IOS is usually done with WAD manager but one can also use DOP-IOS but that comes with a little more risk for the unknowledgeable.

IOS can be sourced a number of ways, one of which is the brilliant PC app NUS Downloader, another would be lifting it directly off the update partition of a game iso.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Yea I forgot about that tealc. You mean by extracting that ios from the game using wiiscrubber and then placing that wad file in the wad folder on your sd card?

Sorry about the mixup in the title. My bad.

So when i'm installing IOS's using Wad Manager, can i just keep adding them over and over. They wont overwrite each other. Is there anything else i should be aware of when doing this.
