    Bcause I have no technical knowledge of the wii was just following a tutorial..maybe did a wrong step??

    You definately installed it as boot2, which is a good thing. Have you made a NAND backup? You need to go into the BootMii installer again and find the option to prepare SD card so it can write the files that bootmii needs to load. Restart your Wii and BootMii should load. Make a backup of your NAND right away, so this way when you tryu to re-install the mods, if something goes wrong, you can just restore the NAND.

    How??? will this resolve the wii chanel uopdate your system? sorry for being so dense but I've been at this for 24 hours and am so confused...your help is greatly appreciated!!!!

    BootMii will not fix the update thing, but it will save your Wii from a brick if you go and try to use the new tutorial. Preloader is what you want installed to stop discs from updating.

    ok found the bootmii and updated...now will use your guide to do the nand backup!!! after that where can I find pre;oader and how do I install?

    Everything you will need is in the download that you got from the guide, please READ everything a couple of times, as it seems your not doing so cause you would have answered your own question.
