flash drive works, but HDD doesn't? wtf! PLEASE HELP!

i went out and got a new WD 500gb passport. partitioned it into 3 drives. X is unallocated and i used wbfs to partition it, Y is in FAT32 format and is only about 4gb, and the Z drive is a few gigs partitioned to ntsc. it doesnt read in neogamma r8beta14, but the flash drive does. and usb loader gx, and wiiflow dont read either. am i doing something wrong?

im running 4.1U with ios38_rev15 if that helps.

    The drive could be incompatible.
Try using only 1 partition to see if that works

I took back my terabyte to get this one because apparently this one works great according to a number of people. all the loaders should mount my hdd, but they dont even recognize them. like i said, the only thing that reads is my flash drive using neogamma. is there a certain way to get rid of usb loader gx and reinstall it like new?

that HD is ok. 500 gb. you don't have to make 3 partitations, just do 2 one for 470GB and this partitation make it the principal, and that's it, i have a WD 1.5TB, and i try like 2 weeks diferents metods, and i do like that, 1.430GB, and i add 500 games on it and work good!

no man, its in the correct port. just for some odd reason the loaders dont read my hdd and i need a fix. should i use any title deleter to erase all the loaders i put on it and then reinstall them?

another question: when i format it to wbfs should it be unallocated before or should it be in fat32 or ntfs format?

i thought you were able to use a flashdrive or some simular device. if so uninstalling things wont help. problem would be with the hdd. it is best to set up partitions no larger than 500 gig and use windows (or simular option) to partition it as fat32. then the wii or wbfs manager to format it to wbfs. i would plug it into the wii after formatting it to fat 32 to see if the wii will ask to format it

As said before, that would have nothing to do with re-installing the loaders. You could try but I doubt it will work.

it worked a few days ago (usb loader) then stopped reading my stuff after i shut off my wii midway during backup of guitar hero onto my flash drive. the port isnt fried cuz it still reads my flash through neogamma. so thats why im thinking if i uninstall it completely then it may work again...but ur right it prolly wont make a difference.
