Does anything at all work in the USB slot [ie. microphone/guitar/any other peripheral that uses USB]? I don't think you would have fried it, even though just turning off the Wii before it finished something was foolish. I mean if you want to get serious to see if it's fried, you can go get yourself a cheap Volt Meter/Multi Meter and check to see if there is current. No current = fried.

tested the right port (farthest from the left corner) with my GH microphone and it worked.the left usb has power going to it because the flash drive was blinking on and off while in the system so it cant be fried i guess. but its still not reading it.reformatted it with wbfs again and threw it back but still a no go. fml.

Try making 3 separate primary partitions with partition wizard home addition (free software) Google it. You'll have to delete all your current partitions and start over.

    1. First partition to fat32 primary active (Assign a letter) give the full 4gb.

    2. Second partition NTFS primary active (Assign a letter) give it a small amount so windows can still recognize part of your drive (For many different reasons)

    3. Have third partition primary active NTFS and then format your hard drive in WBFS Manager 3.0 (Choose the drive letter you assigned to this specific space in WBFS Manager). This is the app you'll use to put games on your hdd to play with usb loader of your choice (Wiiflow and configurable usb loader being the best and neogamma for everything else).

i guess the problem is just usb loader gx. neogamma just read my flash drive and i started resident evil off of it with no problems. i tried configurable usb loader before but that didnt read my hdd either. can i backup my games onto the hdd with wiiflow? i know neogamma doesnt do it, and backing the games up is pretty much the only reason i bought the hdd ya know?

wiiflow didnt read my hdd or my flash drive, neogamma only reads my flash drive and no hdd, and usb loader gx didnt read either. i didnt do the 4gb smaller partition with wbfs, only the bigger one that was formatted in ntfs. apparently my toshiba hdd is compatible from the chart...soooo i dunno. when i bring up wbfs it shows the games that i put on the partition.

also when i load the 2 wiiflow wads that arent the forwarder i get a stack dump error. same with the usb loader gx one that isnt the forwarder.
