    external usb hdd questions

just wondering, i want to be able to download games (iso's) and put them on an external usb drive with wbfs manager ( which i have already done). i haven't softmodded my wii, yet, (still trying to convince the wife..hehehe), but i'm wondering if it's possible to put a movie in .avi format on the external HDD and play it through the wii? and/or can you play and .avi file from a usb stick?

also are you able to copy a retail game from the wii console onto the external usb hdd as an .iso??

Use MplayerCE or similar to play your avi files. The Wii is actually quite good with this, providing it's standard def content on not H264.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Tealc, I have successfully played movies on a USB stick and games on a USB drive. I am wondering if I can put the movies and the games on the drive together? If so, how? It appears that once WBFS formatted my drive it is no longer accessible to the windows OS. So how would I get the movies on there and do they need a particular folder structure? Do I need to create different partitions for the movies?

    Thanks in advance
