once you have modified your wii. you will then be able to use various launchers that are able to play backup disks as well as the ability to force the game to play your region. look in the tutorials section of the main forum for the softmod tutorial that best fits your system menu version. if you are interested

Thanks, I will read it. I just wanted to be sure that I can hack the latest version and play region free games and also back up games... I heard Wii doesn't support DVD

well like the other poster suggested, you may have in your possesion one of the newer wii's that wll not allow for games to be launched from disk as a result of the new disk drive. you will still be able to use usb devices. you would need to know the model number of your wii for anyone here to know with any certainty

I don't know the model number

I could choose WII or PSP or Ipod Touch and want to make right choice, this is difficult for me. Since If I get the Wii, I might get stuck with it without doing nothing with it

if you have not made the purchase yet try to get one second hand or as old as possible. i have modded all of those devices and the wii was the least cumbersome and we got some good guides here with forum personal to help out.

if u buy a new wii then it prob has the new chip, but u can always buy an older used wii or something. Also Usb loading is good too but u need an external Harddrive, i will buy one soon too.
I also have a hacked psp and its fun but not as much as my wii. =D
