    DVD's on softmodded Wii

Hey. I've done some research on this site and can't find an absolute answer to this question. Nobody seems to be positive. I have a softmodded Wii. I updated to V4.2 before I got into the modding scene. I followed the guide on this site for softmodding. Everything installed perfectly, including the DVDX and Bootmii as boot 2. In my reading people have been saying that DVDX can't read the current homebrew apps, such as the Mplayer CE. My system won't play movie DVDs but yet I am still able to run backups off burnt DVDs. Can I play normal DVDs on my system or not? A simple yes or no will suffice. I have a US system if it matters. Forgive me for being so "noobish" and thanks for any advice!

Yeah I've tried to play DVD's. And I'm just talking about normal, store bought movies on DVD. What happens is when I try loading one, it will just spin and spin and nothing ever happens. Maybe I'm just missing something! And thanks for the quick reply!

Good enough answer for me! I'll give that a try when I get off work. I appreciate your time!
