Need help with black wii
Hi there, I have recently bought my black wii and i need real help in order to get it chipped. I tried to do it without help but kinda confused my self after reading so many different threads, everyone with a unique way of doing things. Basically, I have very small knowledge of the Nintendo consoles (this being my 1st one (EVER!!)) and this is the first tiime that I have attempted to chip my own device.
I will be gratefull if someone can help me by going through the steps (from the beginning) of the chipping process.
So far, I have a HDD (i heard i will be needing this if i want to play games on the black wii) an .ISO file (new super mario bros.).
Thank you for all your help in advance!!!!! :P

No chips work with d3-2 boards which your Black Wii probably has.
You'll need to softmod. We have a tutorial for 3.1-4.1 Wiis http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html and one for 4.2 Wiis http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html
I'm not sure which you'll have so you will need to check it yourself.
It's in the Wii settings menu.

If you are concerned about voliding your warranty then stop right now and buy only retail games. Softmod or hardmod will void your warranty, although with a pure softmod you can get away with it if you fully brick.
If you make a mistake by not following our tutorials to the letter you could brick your Wii (make it useless). Thousands of people have successfully modded their Wiis using our tutorials and it is only those who do not read that brick.
Yes you can go online with the Wii softmodded and with backups.
