    Region Free Wii Games 4.2u?

I'm new to all this stuff and I have a question.

Can I play an out-of-region (is that the term people use?) Wii game on my softmodded 4.2u Wii? I want to play Monster Hunter Tri, which I believe is an NTSC-J, but I'm not sure if my Wii can play it, since it's a Japanese game.

look on these forums for a program called neogamma ive used this and it has region free options.

from reading these forums the homebrew channel will run on 4.2 firmware so i gather neogamma will also run

you can find these from the search button.

i can not give you any information on gecko os as i have not used that before and dont want to give you false information.

I have Neo GAmma already. That's good. Okay, so how would one go about setting these region free options?

soon as u load neogamma you have the select to load from <dvd> etc

    region setttings

go into region settings and just mess around with the settings till the games work for you.

i am still messing with the settings myself.

You have to play about with the settings in neo Gamma, if you want to use Gecko OS (I do prefer to use gecko os for my imports) it's in the imposible to read yellow text in my sig.

Okay so I downloaded Gecko OS and looked around the settings a bit.

To make it so I can play MH3, which I believe is an NTSC-J, do I need to turn the language to Japanese and the "Force NTSC" option to yes?

Or... what? Oh, and by the way, is there a WAD file I can use to install Gecko OS as a channel? I have Gecko OS 1.9.2, not 1.9.2b.

    Alright thanks.

So how do I use Gecko OS? How do I set the settings so that I can play Japanese games?
