    Harmodded wii plus softmod

I have had a wii for quite a while and recently upgraded to a drivekey solderless modchip, which seems to be ok for the best part with exception of a few of the latest games. I am on 3.2e but know am getting more interested in homebrew and usb loaders etc, so i would like to do a complete softmod so i have the most compatability for loading games via DVD and USB hard drive also gamecube isos. I have the homebrew channel installed and also bootmii and just needed to know my next direction i have seen so many guides around and just wanted one that will work and not brick my wii, also would preloader or starfall be a recommendation.
One last thing is it worth me going to 4.1e or stqay with 3.2e i do like the idea of loading wiiware an vc on Sd cards can this only be done with 4.0 and above, or is it possible with 3.2e.

There is a mod called Triforce you may want to look into for the WiiWare/VC stuff from SD card, if you want to stay at your current System Menu Version that is

As far as modding your hardmodded system, in my sig is a link for 3.1-4.1 guide, just use that guide and start at part 2 [if you can] or part 3.

Thanks for the reply and the link to the guides, think i will give the 3.1-4.1 guide a go and stay at 3.2 system menu, will this guide also include the everything needed to play gamecube backups.
Would you recommend preloader or should i use starfall, i have heard that starfall is a simpler utility than preloader

I personally use preloader, so i can't comment on starfall. I'm on 4.1 anyway and starfall doesn't work for 4.1.

As far as gamecube backups, you have to install mIOS along with a gamecube backup launcher, and gamecube games must be burnt [no ISO loading for these]. Here is a link for the launcher as well as the mIOS installer: mIOS with Launcher
