    Us Softmodding a v3.4U

    Hello
This site have been great and I am following the 3.1-4.1 Softmod for any Wii
When I got to #4 to update the sys. version I have run into some problems.
I installed IOS60-patched, but when I go to run Firmware Updater v4.1 it only says (+) initializing network, please wait and nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like you have no internet connectivity usually what happens if that's the case

This Steps need a Wi-fi connection to a router and internet connection.

You didn't say which System Menu you are on so remember this step is optional unless you are on 3.3 or 3.4.

oddgriffin is correct, your Wii is not making a network connection. Check your settings and the wireless router. Make sure that the Wii has Internet ON, but keep WiiConnect24 OFF. If you continue to have network problems, you can do the update to 4.1 offline. Download the sysmenuNTSCU449.rar file from here: SystemMenu-NTSCU-v449.rar. Extract the file using WinRar and then copy the sysmenu wad to your SD card. Install sysmenuNTSCU449 with Wad Manager.

Resume the softmod tutorial at Step 5B

    Thanks Guys
It worked as soon as I got on the internet.
Read not to have WiiConnect24 ON and read that to be no internet on, but as soon as I got the WIFI on it worked.
    Thanks again
