usb GX forwarder R837 upgrade does not detect SD card

After upgrading from usb GX forwarder R828 to R837 usb loader seems not to recognize my SD card (Sandisk 1gb) .

I am using USB forwarder in combination with preloaded 0.30 (This way my 3 year old can access her games)
Downgrading back to R828 seems to give SD card access again.
If I install 838 as a channel in the system menu it does function and see my SD card.
I also tried all the newest build up to R842.
I also uninstalled preloader (no luck)
I also tried removing usb loader gx channel, Unfortunately this made it worse.
I now have 2 usb loader channels on wonít load so I canít look up the version to uninstall it with wad manager.

Any help would be appreciated especially by my 3 year old.

Not sure whats happening on these versions, Maybe have a look on theGX IRC.
As for removing the channel can you not delete it in data management on main menu screen.

Sometimes when updating revisions with the forwarder, the config file can get corrupted. It's possible this is what caused your SD card's loss of functionality. To prevent this in the future, you can just delete it when trying new revisions if you experience unusual problems like this.

Uninstall the two channels which aren't working. No sense having them if you aren't even sure of the revision. So long as you have the original wads you can uninstall via Wad Manager. If you still don't know which is which, just run uninstall on each USB Loader wad you have. You won't harm anything by uninstalling something which isn't there, but check the names and try to be sure.

AnyTitleDeleter is another option, but if you go that route make sure not to start uninstalling your IOS': This program can cause a brick if you aren't sure what you're uninstalling.

Get Preloader reinstalled and functioning properly before you start working with USB loader again. Make sure you're up to date and using preloader .30 rev4 as well.

Take off any saved remnants of the old USB Loader app on your card including the SD:\config.dat file (you can save the images folder which contains your covers), decide which revision you want to try out, place the forwarder or channel wad into the WADS folder, then reinstall as normal. Don't forget to replace USB Loader into your apps folder as well.

I hope this helps get things working again for you.

Thanks for responding so quickly guys.!!!
Well I fixed the duplicate channel by running my first bootmii recovery nand from a couple of days ago!
    The bootmii application is amazing.

It did kill my preloader 0.30 R3.
I just downloaded R4 and will install this.

So currently I got the channel working with the SD card detected and images working with version R838
Installing the same version to boot from R838boot.dol with preloader 0.30R3 result in no SD again.
So I will try installing preloader 0.30R4 and empty the config folder.

    I AM SO LOST.

I cleaned the config folder and installed Preloader 0.30 R4.

Why does the SD function fine on the channel and not booting to it from preloader.

I have no clue how to clean this mess.

Sorry to be a nagging noob :-(

Edit: ^^ He's right, Priiloader is the latest rev. Check that one out and not the one I linked.

Hmm, you shouldn't have needed to clean a config folder, the file I mentioned was just a lone file on the root of your SD card: config.dat

I'm not sure what you're trying to do so to clarify, are you trying to boot directly into USB Loader without booting to the system menu? Or are you trying to install a forwarder channel in the system menu that will boot USB Loader?

    Are you doing this.
Installing USB Loader as a Forwarder.
Copying the boot.dol of GX to SD\root.
    Setting Preloader autoboot =file
    Return = system menu
    installed file is boot.dol

This boots the Wii straight into GX, if you want it to stay in GX, return = autoboot.

WiiJohn and Ithian you guys are the BEST!!!

PriiLoader FIXEd the problem @#%(*#%* Awesome!!!!!

Somehow Priiloader fixed the USB loader GX SD card issue.

I think this is what fixed it.

Priiloader v0.1 (changes on top of preloader 0.30)
let Priiloader remount SD on a lot of occasions

It reads it perfect and I have my covers back. SWEET!!!

I first ended op Bricking after a NAND recover.

I ended up killing my IOS60 system Menu.

    Thank god for bootmii boot2

(“bootmii team are Wii guardian angles)

After the nand backup Preloader 0.29 or 0.30 would not install.

I wasn’t aware that you need to reinstall the IOS60-patched.wad, Trucha Bug Restorer and the cIOS38 r14 installer.

It now boots from an offstate to USBLOADER perfectly.

Again thank you very very much guys!!!!
