How Can I Run Backup Games On My Wii?

The title says it all.

I would like to know how I can play backups on my Wii. I have a softmodded Wii with HBC and Neo Gamma r7 I believe.

I downloaded "New Super Mario Bros Wii" and burned it to a DVD+R (I heard you should burn it to DVD-R, but do you HAVE to?). When I put it into my Neo Gamma thing, it wasn't able to be read.

When I tried the disk channel, it was unable to be read as well. I have IOS53 installed, which is required to play the game and all. But still no luck.

If people say you must use DVD-R and you go ahead and use DVD+R what do you expect to happen?

Backups won't work in the disc channel in any case unless you hardmod or totally custom your Wii (not recommended)

Yea bud try a DVD-R disk for sure much less likely to get disc read errors as
-R are a lot better for the wii drive to read also i recommend using verbatim and using imgburn at 4x and you should be fine good luck.

and btw you can use dvd+r but you will fail more often and btw inthis post it works for usb loaders aswell

i never use -R since ps2 generation and movies, -R doesn't work on my dvd player.

try this:
Downloaded a rared copy of New_Super_Mario_Bros_Wii_USA_Wii-QwiiF.iso

-Unrared it to a folder and got New_Super_Mario_Bros_Wii_USA_Wii-QwiiF.iso

-Downloaded the fix Soft Mod Disc Loading

-Unrared it and took the 4 files and put them in the folder with New_Super_Mario_Bros_Wii_USA_Wii-QwiiF.iso

-Renamed New_Super_Mario_Bros_Wii_USA_Wii-QwiiF.iso to qf-nsmbw

-Ran the qf-nsmbw_fixv2 batch file - command window poped up and showed me the progress. Looks something like this....

-Took about 17 min to finish and I ended up with a second iso in the folder qf-nsmbw.fixedv2

-burned it the same was as my other 60+ working games - on Sony DVD-R with nero as image to disk

-Put it in the Wii and just get a green screen. beter than before.

-I think I have 3.2u - backup loader channel /backuplancher Gamma 0.3 - its been playing all burnt games till this one so I havent bothered trying to figure out how to update anything in a year.

i followed that guide, works like charm, but make sure the NSMB you download, must be "New_Super_Mario_Bros_Wii_USA_Wii-QwiiF.

Just go ahead and download then unrar, burn(slowly), and play through your disc launcher. Works like a charm.... .
