DVDs won't play on MPlayer CE

I have successfully installed The Hombrew Channel and MPlayer CE, however, when I try to play a DVD, I get a message saying "Error mounting DVD".

I have read various threads about this problem and the solution seems to be to install IOS202 (using base IOS60 and IOS36).

I now have the cIOS Installer for IOS202 on my SD card and can run it from The Homebrew Channel - but this is where I get stuck:

It asks me to "select an IOS for install" and that "The selected IOS must have fake sign bug enabled"

    Questions:
    1. Is this the right way to fix the problem?
    2. Which IOS should I choose?
    3. How do I know it has fake sign bug enabled?

    Any advice gratefully received.

Well, this might sound stupid but, are you sure you installed DVDx?

get cIOSCORP v3.5 and run main installer than run cIOSCORP v3.5 extra installer and install RVL-DVDX-v1-v3.4-uses_IOS201.wad and make sure when you installed hombrew and bootmii you alson installed dvdx click thanks if i helped

your problem was you thought IOS202 is what makes dvd's work but it is really RVL-IOS201.wad

here's cIOSCORP v3.5 and the extra installer is in there as well:

Make sure you read up on cIOSCORP before installing it. It's a tricky little cIOS installer as it does some funky things to your IOSs. Hence if you update by accident and need to re-modify your Wii, you will run into a "No Vulnerable IOS" problem. BootMii will not install with no vulnerable IOS.

    Thanks mason742.

Is that the only way to get DVDs playing? cIOSCORP seems a step too far to me as I'm scared of screwing everything up and it looks like it makes some pretty major changes.
