    Any idea what this means?..

When trying to run Super Smash Brothers Melee on my softmodded wii via GC Backup launcher, I recieve this error no matter what I try.

The game launches, pauses for a few seconds, then displays:

"An error has occured. Turn the power OFF and check the NINTENDO GAMECUBE instruction booklet for further instruction."

If anyone has a possible solution to this, please let me know. I've also tried different versions of the GC Backup launcher, along with different ISO's of the game. Also, it's the correct region.

Are you trying differnt ISO's of the same game or can you get other games to play on GC Backup Launcher?

Different ISOs of the same game, which I know are reported working. Every other game i've tried with GC Backup launcher work fine. I've tried around 3 - 4.

does it say Error #002? the error message you describe is verbatim the same error I get when trying to use the New Super Mario Bros iso.

No, it doesn't. Only the error message that I quoted above.

Are you sure?.. This error is telling me to refer to the gamecube manual. As it's for Super Smash Bros Melee on Gamecube, Not Brawl on Wii.

I would've thought NSMB would display something else as it's for Wii.

is this the only gamecube game giving you the problem? what are you using regular dvd-r or those little disks? what program are you using to create the dvd iso? what program to burn, write speed?

Yes, it's the only game i've tried so far which doesn't work, out of about 4. I burn't it using Nero at 2x speed, using Verbatim DVD-R's. I also tried burning it twice to make sure it wasn't a bad copy.

What GC launchers have you tried, and have you checked the compatibility list to make sure it is compatible, have you tried using Neogamma or USB Loader GX to boot the game. Did you get the cMIOS installed?
