Got it. The guides work great when followed to a T. I softmodded mine before I knew anything about wiihacks. I look back at everything I did and see that I was on thin ice as far as bricks go. I guess that's why I got a soft spot for noobs with error codes and puckered buttholes.

You should be good to go now that you've got 60patched.

Okay just a quick one to end the night here !!

everything installed now but one thing I am having bother with is the preloader, the screen is showing the version as version v0.29 and that there is a line saying " there is an important update to v0.30 "

when I turn on the wii it autmatically goes onto this preloader screen- should it ?? how can I configure the menu so that the wii automatically boots to the normal wii menu screen or is defeating the purpose ??!!

when I am in the menu off preloader when I press on any off the choices ie. homebrew channel / installed file etc I am getting error messages for instance if I press on homebrew channel I get the message " error autobooting hbc maybe title not installed"

what have I done / not done here ??!!

as I say running the games from a Drivekey and the only homebrew is going to be the wiiflow usb do I actually require the preloader and if not how do I either get rid off it / change to wii menu once in it ?? or get the wii to boot into the main wii menu from initial boot up ??

the update thing in preloader is a glitch. It's not booting to homebrew because you have a newer version of homebrew than what was out when that preloader was released. If you set boot to system menu you can always access preloader if needed by holding reset when you power on.

Okay perfect so just to confirm you are saying there is infact no v0.30 update and it is just a glitch ???

canyou just confirm what settings I should go for within the main menu option, most seem off by default ?? as I say have the set boot choice at system menu but not too sure about the others ??

within " system hacks " I am getting syntax error message - again is this just due to the homebrew being a newer version when that preloader was out ??

stick with this or update to a newer version ??

That's really up to you. I've been dragging my feet about updating (laziness mostly) but the update is safe. If I'm not mistaken you're on HBC 1.0.6 and the new preloader will boot to that. The hacks option in preloader doesn't work unless you put the hacks.ini for your system menu into the root of your sd card. Then you can do all kinds of useful stuff like blocking disc updates.

Priiloader is a modified version of the officially discontinued Preloader.

    What is Priiloader ?

Priiloader is a modded version of Preloader. just like preloader, Priiloader places itself in boot sequence before the system menu. by this priiloader has the ability to:

    * patch memory just like StartPatch or Preloader. hacks.ini should be on the sd root(only once, they get copied to NAND) and can be found here
    * save wii from banner & other kind of bricks that aren't ios/boot2/nand corruption related
    * start something else then system menu on power up (a dol file, bootmii, homebrew channel)

    • Download it here http://www.nyleveia.com/daco/dlpriiloader.php?ver=0_1
