what would be a good preloader to use to prevent updates?
What system menu are you on?
Ok I have a question that falls in this category. I have an NTSC wii and always burned NTSC games have tried burning some PAL games the past couple days and they play but the screen is fuzzy and no color. I have 4.1 Homebrew neogamma 7 ios249 rev 14 any ideas?
use the force video option to your region
im using system menu 3.4U
preloader doesnt work with 3.4
follow this to go to 4.1 and after that you can install preloader
Quick question for you GGXena if you don't mind - are you using Millionaire version 1? If you are and you are loading it via USB Loader - what settings do you have the game on? I've been racking my brain trying to get the settings right on this and so far I can get a rolling screen and that's it.

1st let me say that I don't like to use a preloader, I prefer to boot the Wii straight to the main page. And I'm not using any burned discs -- I only use USB loaders and games installed to an external HDD.
With that said, I made sure to do these two settings:
- USB Loader GX: Settings > Game Load > Video Mode > Force NTSC
- Wiiflow: Settings > Default Video Mode > NTSC
Am I now totally safe to play any PAL game from the external HDD? Or am I missing something?
ah it think u need to change the NTSC to PAL then only u will be able to play PAL versions......so the best n easiest way to stay out of update is to turn off ur wifi setting on ur wii ???? am i rite ????

with preloader installed, the wii does boot to the main system menu. it only loads to the preloader menu if you configure it to or if you hold in the reset button, so that logic is flawed. preloader also helps when there is a problem accessing your system menu, you have a way to get into the wii and work with the files to fix the problem.
