I'm having trouble loading the New Super Mario Bros game with the USB loader GX. I'm not getting the common #002 error. It says "error, please eject disk and read your users manual...". Can someone please help or point me in the direction to fixing this problem?
Thanks.
Edit/Update: Ok I figured it out using the link below provided by s0ur- [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]
I gave up on the USB loader GX for that particular game. I'm using the neogamma r8 loader. The download is provided in the link (download and put the file on SD) It loaded Super Mario Bros perfectly with no setting changed. Just select the game from USB if it's on the USB HD.

In the setting there is an option for .002 fix, please turn this ON.
Please also refer to this thread: [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register] To make sure you are doing everything correctly, as this is a tricky game to load right.
Thanks s0ur. However, I don't see the option for .002 fix to turn on. Is that in the USB loader GX channel? I only see the option to say "yes" "no" or "anti" for the #002 error. Is that what you are referring to? I checked the link and read through the entire post and I'm still confused. Do you know exactly what needs to be done?
Not sure what rev you were trying on USB Loader, but if you decide to give it another try, rev822 or later contains a built in fix for NSMB. Might be what you were looking for.
I'm having exactly the same problem. Using USB Loader GX rev 838 on a softmodded 4.2U. I made a point of trucha-signing IOS53. I've tried with all possible settings of the 002 fix.
Well...at this point it feels like it would be admitting defeat, odd as that sounds. "People have gotten it to work without patching it, so why should I patch it?" I think. It's like a puzzle that I just can't figure out...
I get what your saying.. For me it's kind of the other way around. The patch was found out way before it was built into loaders and made easy. I liked the extra challenge of messing with the .iso and getting the game running before there were any guides made.
