Help me! Uninstall Bannerbomb wii soft mod.

Hello. I'm new to the whole modding thing. I used the version 4.2 guide here on this site and recently I decided to undo this mod.

This is what I done to undo what I hope is everything.

    I loading up the SD card and I uninstalled;

Homebrew Channel first, then bootmii, then dvdx.

I was uncertain where to go from there so I waited a few days.

Just a few minutes ago I decided to format my wii memory. Right after setting up a wireless connection the wii came back and asked me to perfom an update. I ignored this at first because I was afraid it may brick my wii.

The last thing I attempted was to install that update. But a message comes back saying something similar to the following,

"If Nintendo detects any modifications on this system it may render this machine inoperable. Do you wish to continue with the update? If not hld down the power button for 4 seconds."

    WTF!!?? This seems sketchy.

Why would this happen? Before I done this today I was wondering if I needed to change back the IOS249 stub that is originally there. Then I didn't know if that was already done when I uninstalled everything. By the looks of everything it wasn't!

Can anyone point me in the right direction?? It would be great if I could save the life of this wii.

My firmware version was 4.2 when I done the mod and right now it say 4.2U.. I'm thinking that it's the same as before.

normal message that nintendo puts up on there updates. I don't think it will do any update as the system has the latest version on there, so run it and it will just say no updates avalible.
I'm now into retro games console hacking and development.
Currently working on Nintendo 64 if you want to help PM me.

Here is the guide to making your Wii a Virgin. I think it only works for upto 4.1.
Also if your Wii is this years there is a warning.

Yes. A friend of mine that helped me out with the mod told me that that message is normal. I just failed to of seen it before. I will the update in the next day.

As for my question about the IOS249 stub being replaced once Bootmii was uninstalled. Is that correct?

    Thanks
