Angry NeoGamma R7 DVD Read error (1101)

Okay this is pretty retarded. I cannot load my games from NeoGamma (R7 RC4, IOS249 Rev 14) using DVDs. I did everything in any tutorial and it didn't worked. I pretty much wasted about more then 20$ looking for the right Disks but nothing.

Okay this is what I did. I burnt a Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess(NTSC) ISO onto a Memorex DVD+R disk (16x, 4.7GB, 120mins) at 4x speed using Nero 7. I also have DVDx installed into my Wii, and I am using Wii system version 4.2u.

So whenever I insert my disk into the Wii. And boot NeoGamma and use "Launch Game on DVD" it says "Launching game". For about 7 seconds a retarded error appears saying: "DVD Read Error (1101)" What the hell is this? What am I exactly doing wrong?

(I don't want to waste any more money on any other disks. I just want to see what I can do with what I have already. No USB hard drives, just what I have.)

2 obvious differences from my continuous success were found in ur works:

    - dvd-r
    - burn at 2x speed with ImgBurn

agreed DVD-R is the way to go, you need to burn slower 2.4x seems to work well for me.

Also when did you buy your Wii? if its new it will have the D3-2 drive inside and they are incompatible with any blank media I have just bought a limited edition Wii that has the drive so I now use USB loader GX.

I bought my Wii last year. Also why DVD-R? What is the difference and why can't I use DVD+R? I seen people use this and it worked perfectly. (Like I said I don't want to waste any more money.)

We will reply we not here 24/7! keep saying stuff like that and we won't help you!
DVD+R does not always work on the original Xbox it did but not on the Wii its just the booktype the Wii does not like, you could try to change the booktype before you burn an image file but you need to google that no one here will help you with that. And burn images slower you seem an impatient person.

Simple answer enough for you? DVD+R wont work, use Verbatim DVD-r at 4x with imgburn. THE END OF THE THREAD.

and be grateful, cos we are not obliged to help you you know.Especially if you have not read the guides in here.

If you look in Tutorials you'll find a thread called 'Media: DVD-R for backups, not DVD+R'

Why it's like this? Who cares? It's been shown that DVD-R are better for the Wii so use them. Use your DVD+R for something else.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.
