    Need Help please.

Well today I came home to my girlfriend moaning that the homebrew channel on her wii has disappeared. Instantly my head dropped and I simply asked,

    'did you do an update?'.

'why, it said it needed the update.' was her reply.

apparently, never do an update wasn't, clear enough for her. so now i have a fully updated 4.2e wii. yay.

Anyway my problem is that there is so much conflicting information on whether you can or cannot softmod the 4.2e. I would just like to know If it can be done with relative ease and small chance of bricking. I am a bit of a noob with this stuff but I can follow guides very well.

The last time I Softmodded it up to 4.1 it was a very clear and straightforward guide with a universal yes on if it can be done.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i had that nightmare once and then i set my parental controls so they can't update and use preloader settings to not update from disk. you may want to see if you can get bootmi installed and if you can restore your nand from before. i don't know for sure if you can but i don't feel comfortable with the 4.2 yet enough to wanna have it. anyone know if there is a simple way he can do that?

Just follow the link in my sig to re-mod your 4.2 system. I have both a 4.1 system and a 4.2 system. The mod is fine on a 4.2 system, just READ everything step by step.
