configuration usb loader wiped out hard drive

ok well i got the new super mario game and was reading around and one person said that this usbloader made it work so i got it tried it and it didnt work. i got the ios53-v5604 installed that and tried that and still nothing. I changed a setting in it to use the ios 223 because thats what solved my gh5 issue so was hoping it work then with this loader. sadly it didnt and had to restart the wii after that i try to load config usb loader again and it was trying to mount but couldnt. i tried usb loader gx and it wont load. I put a older usb loader on wii and tried it and it tells me no wbfs partition is found on the harddrive and asking me if i want to format it so somehow the config usb loader i guess wipe my data anyway of getting it back?

also i tried to plug harddrive to pc and my pc cant recognize it either so not sure what thats suppose to mean.

please help it had lots of games on it.

Did you have just the one partition on the drive WBFS.
If so when you plug it into the PC, it should say something like, cannot recognise drive do you want to format it.
Opening WBFS manager should see it.

Not sure whats happening here. Use WBFS manager to load your ISO's onto the WBFS formatted drive.

With the new super mario Bros in USB loader GX you need to have the alternative .dol installed on the root of the SD card...

click on the game, select settings then game launch options, chose yes for error 002 and click use alternative .dol file and make sure it says SD card, the alternative .dol needs to have the name changed to "SMNP01.dol" or "SMNP.dol". and I always use IOS 249.

Your not going to get the data back format the drive using WBFS manager and download the latest version of USB loader GX or Gamma R8, make sure you get the .WAD versions and install then using wad manager, if you get the latest version of GX go into the settings and check for updates. the try what i said above.

yea i was trying that with the new super mario bros wasnt workign for me thats why i tried the config loader which screwed me up. also my games are still on the harddrive thats formatted to wbsf but its showing up that they are in ntsc format unless thats how its suppose to show it which i dont think it is cause none of the loaders can read the harddrive

If the PC can read it with out the WBFS manager then the drive is formated wrong backup your games and reload the WBFS manager and format the drive, just use the latest version of USB Loader GX trust me it works I was playing the game this morning.

You may have to change the name of the .dol to SMNP.dol or download a new patched version of the game. Also IOS249 is the only IOS that seems to work for me so make sure you have the configuration correct IOS249, Error 002 "YES", Use alternative .dol set to "SD" make sure it's in the ROOT directory of the SD card. You may have to install ISO249.wad in wad manager using the guides.
It maybe also that you have NTSC versions of the game thats ok as they should boot.

ok so the drive is formated correctly. re-download USB loader GX google it make sure you get the latest version and that its a .wad file and check for updates even if you think its the latest version.
Make sure the HDD is plugged into the correct USB slot before starting USB loaderGX, I know it sounds silly but people do for get these things. it took me a while to get this game working too but just keep trying at it.

alright well i got it all working. i think it was just acting stupid. cause before it was saying it was not recognizing harddrive when i plug it into pc but it doesnt say that anymore just the format thing when i click it. i tried to get super mario to work i used the in app downloader that usb loader gx has to update it. set it to ios 249 002 fix yes and it still doesnt load. just stay on black screen so back to the drawing board for that at least. just glad harddrive is working
