    Newbie help please

Hey guys, new to this wii modding scene and had a question. I used the wii modding for dummies guide and tools from wiiguides.co.cc and soft modded my wii. I want to play the latest games via dvd-r including the New Super Mario Brothers. What should I update and how would I go about updating to allow the newest games and older ones as well to play via dvd-r. I have a homebrew channel and the launch channels, and super paper mario has worked so far. I will be burning other games and running them through wii brick blocker first. My wii version was 3.4u or something like that prior to the wii mod for dummies. Hope you guys can help I want the latest and best running so that I am able to play all new games. Thank You!!!

Can anyone explain step by step what these ios things are and what neogamma is. I just have a homebrew channel and disc loader and usb sd loader. What is the most up to date things I need to download to play most all games, and how to i install them over what I already have installed from the wii modd for dummies? So confused, thanks again.

IOS - (Input Output System) are files the wii uses to communicate / play games, differEnt games use different IOS'S.

Neogamma - is a backup loader program , allowing you to play backup games on the Wii.

Follow this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html if you want to install these on your system.

i don't know what guide you used but typically some folks just use homebrew channel to load homebrew games and the ones who want to play backups have to install a cios and various other ios's to get them to run. if you made a backup and it worked then you must have some system files installed. if you run into a game that won't play ask and someone will know what ios you need. as for nsmb it is the first game i have come acrsoo that i couldn't play from disk so i had to use the sd card method. i'm sure someone will figure out how to get this to work more than 70% of the time. as for now it is usually modchip users and softmodders who are either too vague in their descriptions or are using system files (cios rev15) that don't seem to work for others.
