    USB HDD Help need?

Hi guys looking for a little help getting my Wii to see my External HDD. I think My Wii is running 4.1e (I don't have access at work so can't check for sure) and I'm trying to get Mplayer to see my 750GB Maxtor 4 One touch External HDD without sucess. I have checked and the drive is FAT32 on the primary active partition. According to the compatability list it is "Fully Working" but all I get is "Unable to mount USB". I have tried plugging it in before the Wii is turned on and after it has fully booted also have tried both ports (as suggested in other threads). I have tried running GX loader but it just black screens and crashes. My HDD is FULL to the brim with movies and TV shows so I have no way to format it as I have no where to store the data on it. Most of the threads I have looked at have covered running ISO's from the HDD but I don't really have any interest in doing this just running Avi's in Mplayer.

I am new to this but thus far have managed to muddle my way through most of the issues I have come across inc getting Guitar Hero 5 to work (that was a bitch) Any help or guides you can give me would be much appreciated.

    Cheers in advance,

    Craig.

Firstly your HDD is probably fine it just requires formatting.
Download WBFS manger 3.0, Use this to partition your drive, the Wii can only see this format.
The most convienient way is to have 2 primary and active partitions on your HDD. Then format one of them to WBFS.
When thats done use this program to convert your ISO's to runable games.

There is an excellent guide to loaders here,
