    I followed the same guide. My Wii can't see the hard drive. It doesn't matter which format I put as either, NTFS or WBFS.

    did u go on the disk management,then storage then all drives show up.
    at the bottom of the page you will see the drives as disk o ,1, etc,mine was disk 1 and i right clicked and selected create new something cant remember full but its the first option and then right click again to make it ACTIVE,worked for me.

    lol it just sounded funny the way he said it. didn't realize he was having simular problem. mrjibaku did you ever check to see if your drive was compatible?

    Odd it was one of the recommended ones, WD Passport 500gb. I just had a break through with Neogamma. It was timing out and put the drive out and back in, it then could see the contents. Is there a way to disable the time out feature (if that is what is causing it?)

    did u go on the disk management,then storage then all drives show up.

    I did that, it seems that it works when it is plugged in while it is seeking the drive.

    lol yeh i know what you mean but when we address our problems by making a post we forger that others do have same issues as us,but hey we are not psychics and we do say problem solved or close the tread but others have got to make posts too for further info if they want to get sorted

    maybe you do need to partition it. smaller drive might be easier to scan for contents and not time out. i know i was told no bigger than 500gigs but maybe under certain situations even smaller partition would be better.
