    Wii DVD Player - Pretty please

    Hiya,

    I've already done the hacking guide for v4.2, installed and woking great.
    I've got the emulators working, well apart from the mame but i can sort that.
    SO, how do i get it to play dvds?????

    When you say DVD's do you mean games or movies.
    For games you need a loader, Neogamma or such.
    For Movies you need DVDx and MyPlayer

    It plays back up games fine on neogamma.
    I mean movies, So do i need both dvdx and mplayer? or just one?
    And i can get these from homebrew browser, right?

    Yes you can get them from HBC browser.
    You will need a second partition on your HDD, mine is a NTFS, copy the .avi to there.
    Works a treat.

    Why would he need any partition to play a DVD?

    I still can't believe people want to play a DVD in an expensive gaming machine, like you I play ripped movies from the hard drive so as not to put any strain on the laser.

    I believe he wants to play movies from his HDD. Maybe from DVD's, but you are right, its not good for the reader to play DVD's.
