You are having this trouble because you had cioscorp installed, and updated to 4.2 through nintendo.

    Download ios16.zip
    IOS36-64-v1042.wad
    cIOS36-v3094-v3.4.wad
    Extract the wads to sd:/wads

    Do not uninstall any wads

    Bannerbomb wadmanager
    Select ios36
    Install ios16.wad
    Exit wadmanager and reboot wii

    Bannerbomb wadmanager
    Select ios16
    Install IOS36-64-v1042.wad
    Exit wadmanager and Reboot wii

    Goto 4.2 guide
Read and complete the entire guide

    Run wadmanager
    Select ios249
Install cIOS36-v3094-v3.4.wad (this is part of cioscorp)
    Exit wadmanager and Reboot Wii

Test loading a backup disk from disk channel to see if cioscorp works, or if the 4.2 update killed it.

Be sure to let me know how this goes.

Well, some good news. I was able to follow s0ur's B&C suggestion which fixed IOS249. Then I went ahead and installed IOS36-64-v1042.wad. Which allowed me to run hackmii to install HBC. Then I went ahead and installed CIOS36-v3094-v3.4.wad. Everything seems to work fine now. I have the newest version of HBC installed. Is there anything else I should check to make sure I don't have garbage files laying around or anything? Thanks for the help guys.

    Excellent.

Are your disks loading from the disk channel or through a loader?
