Help!! not sure if semi bricked or fully bricked

hi guys i did a firmware downgrade from 4.2e to 3.2e so i can install Drivekey chip, downgrade worked fine no probs. rebooted wii 3.2e all worked fine,
I then upgraded to firmware 4.1 via Firmware Updater 4.1 on HBC loaded no probs then it said press any key to restart so i pressed A and took out the SD about a second later.
It restarted booted noise coming from the disc drive but no picture on TV not even black screen, it like there is no picture/video feed coming from the wii unit. rebooted again then it came on the the first wii screen pressed a, went into the HBC then it froze, rebooted then nout on screen,
put SD card back so see if it would boot into that but nothing on screen, as i say it boes boot up and makes noises from the disc drive.
    any help on this one.

would it be best to do a recovery using the Nintendo recovery disc and the GC controller boot trick

    any advice

    thanks.

If you have bootmii install as boot2 you could use that.
If you had preloader installed it is gone
You could try savemiifrii with the gc controller, if it works you could install a chip pre-configured to auto boot and use the autoboot wadmanager to reinstall needed files.

    Probably a full brick.

That's a strange one. A full brick is one that would normally show the same result no matter what you do, yet you clearly had the system boot to Menu. I can't help thinking that this 4.2 to 3.2 to 4.1 has caused some problems.

So it sounds like you've got an intact IOS60 and System Menu but for some reason they are clashing with something.

I'd definitely try the gamecube controller trick.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

My bad, I must have missed that part. Do as Tealc say's, there should be hope.

i just put the files on the SD card i used to downgrade and the wii booted up to the main wii menu, thank god, but if i take the SD card out and reboot thats when i get no signal output to the tv so it must be something missing that makes it boot up, also when SD card is in and i go to the HBC it freezes up.

in the files there is a startup.elf

when i downgraded to 4.1 it worked ok its just that if i re started/booted up the wii there was no vid output to tv with out those downgrade files on the SD card
is there a safer/better way to downgrade to 4.1, cos i have a Drivekey chip coming in the next few days
