Can I now play back up games?

I am following the excellent 'full hacking guide for 4.2 systems, and have accessed bootmi. I am unable to uninstall ios249 until I purchase a gamecube controller. (which hopefully I will be able to get tomorrow). I have tried to use the power button etc on my console to do this but it won't allow it. I have read and re-read the guide on how to install cios38rev14 and hopefully will have no probs installing this.
My question is: Will I then be able to play back-up copies without 'DVD launching' and 'USB launching'?
This may sound like a very silly question to some of you but I really am a complete novice to wii hacking!!
I would be grateful for any help.

you shouldnt need a GC controller for this. u must be doing sth wrong. Also what do you mean without DVD or USB? Where will the wii find the games? From the Holy Spirit?

Thank you bery much for answering.
I'm so sorry for sounding really silly, but I really am lost. I have been attempting to do this since last night with only a few hours sleep, so I agree, I probably am doing something wrong, so pls forgive me.
I have been able to access bootmi which i installed on ios and am able to access wadmanager. I have selected ios251, which takes me to the screen which I must select the SD card icon. I have managed to select this by using the power button and reset button. When I try to access the wad folder, nothing happens! (Someone advised me on another thread that I would need a GC.)
I agree that I am probably doing something stupidly wrong, but can't for the life of me figure out wot!!
    Please help?

I am using 'Full hacking Guide for 4.2 system and have got as far a B6. I have accessed the SD card icon but can't access the ios249 from wad folder.
Hope this is more informative. (I'm just a dull blonde!!)

I selected ios251. It was the only one that didn't freeze my wii and enabled me to get to the sd card, but when I selected the SD card i couldn't go to wad folder and that is where I'm stuck, lol.

oops, I'm obviously doing something wrong as: 1) I can't use my wiimote to access sd card and when I access it using my console, these are my options:
    <<exit>>
    [PLACET-1]
    [wad]
    [apps]
    [bootmii]
    [private]
    boot.elf
    INSTAL-1.LOG
    IOS38-_1.WAD

When I select [wad], this appears:
    ..
    NEOGAM-1.WAD
    USBLOA-1.WAD
    USB-LO-1.WAD

Hope this helps? Thought if I tell you exactly what is on my screen, you may understand a bit better?

yes, you need to format the SD card, and copy the contents of the "place contents on SD" folder, in the SD, then redo. Actually it is the content of the file you get when you extract the rar
