    Good DVD-R Brand Besides Verbatim?

What's a good DVD-R brand for backups besides verbatim? I'm going to a staples tomorrow but it doesn't have any Verbatim brand DVDs there.

Here are the results I got when I searched for "dvd-r": Staples

They only sell verbatim in Canada.

    The brands:

    • Staples
    • HP
    • Imation
    • Khypermedia
    • Memorex
    • Sony

Best Buy had Verbatim on sale this week, 50 for 12.99, they are closed here, if you are on the west coast you still might make it. There are no other brands as good, besides Taiyo Yuden, and them are internet order only, unless you find a local retailer that sells them, the big box chain stores do not sell Taiyo Yuden. Once again, Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden are the best, nothing else compares, don't let anybody tell you any different, they're blowing hot air if they do.

Radio Shack [or The Shack as it's called now] has Gigaware discs [they are actually manufactured by Ritek (just as good as verbatims in my opinion)] are like 10 bucks for a 25 pack

Office depot brand is also ritek, I used them many times, and so are maxell - ritek too. The only reason I use them are for movies and because I don't have to drive 30 miles to the nearest Verbatim retailer. This brand is not as good as the two brands I listed above. To be honest, I get a good burn with every maxell or office depot DVD, but these discs still do not compare to Verbatim.

I don't know when the sale ends, probably until the end of today.

Even if I don't make it before the sale ends, it's just an extra 7 bucks.

I bought 2 packs last time I was there so I would have to go back for a while.
