Playing burnt games+other newbie things

ive tried playing my burned games on the wii backup loader/launcher.same thing.ok the things im using are:utorrent,wii iso for the games,and imgburn.and dvd+r discs,dont tell me get dvd-r because i had those and returned them for +r because my computer wouldnt take -r,so im using +R.ok i downloaded everything on the disc and everything was ok,the thing that im confused about though is that when i downloaded some games from wii iso like:super mario galaxy and pokemon battle revolution, their is only 1 disc when i open up the files,other games like metroid prime have alot of files,and i know i have to extract the .rar file with winrar,but with super mario and pokemon theres only a picture of a disc,not alot of files like super metroid,anyway i burned the metroid prime iso file that i extracted to the disc,i put the disc in the wii and loaded the backup launcher and i just get a black screen,nothing else,and with pokemon BR i didnt extract anything because their was nothing to extract,same for super mario galaxy,so i just burned the one file of pokemon BR to the disc,and when i tryed playing it the screen on the wii when i put the backup launcher was still black and would stay black. P.S: i have real copies of these discs,so these are just backups.PLEASE HELP, DVD+R DISCS ONLY PLEASE.READ THE DVD+R SECTION ABOVE IF U FORGOT WHAT I SAID!THANKS!

Update you loader to neogammar7 and cIOS38 rev14 (linked in the guides that are linked in my sig).

You really need to use DVD-R. They are much more compatible with Wii's. Also DVD-R's are rumored to cause more strain on the laser of the Wii drive, do they should be avoided.

You should also use good quality (preferably Verbatim) DVD's and burn slowly (1x/2x/2.4x).

using some . , ; and spaces/newlines in your post would also help.

these iso's are for versions 3.4 and under,i got 4.1,but i have a hacked wii and everything

thats not correct.

No game requires a particular system menu.

Each game uses a particular IOS to run, this is what you are missing if you get a black screen, PLEASE read the link i posted above, it will list which IOS's games use, and also tell you how to find out if the game is not listed.

Once you know which IOS, you simply install the required IOS with wadmanager.

it's like DavePM said about the DVD -R's, i'll put money on that being the problem. Try and use a friends computer that can burn -R's so you can check to see if that is definately the problem [i've never had luck with +R's, but i have heard that you can use them but you have to change the book type (i have no idea how to do this so google is your friend on that one)]

one more question davepm.how do i get those ios things,i know how to put them on the sd card and know how to use them with wad manager 1.4 cuz i already have that.but am i just supposed to go to wad manager and change the ios using the d-pad on the wii mote to select one of these ios's for the game of my choosing??
