Us Unable to run PAL wii games

Hi - I have a wii that's running 4.2U. Went through the tutorial to softmod(Full hacking guide for 4.2 system menus) and I believe was able to successfully go through all the steps. Have loaded a few NTSC games onto my Wii HDD and am having no issues with it.. Have one PAL game and when I try to run it it comes up with Error on the screnn asking me to go through the wii manual.. Tied setting the Game Load option to force NTSC/System default, but no luck.. Any suggestions on what I can try? what I might be missing?

What loader are you using? What error code to you get? 002? I had a similar problem but was able to fix it after I updated USB Loader GX to the latest revision. If messing with the settings did not help and the error code 002 fix is not working then you may need to update your loader or cios... Not sure though still pretty new myself.

I can play the pal games on my wii but there all black and white, the video is a little fuzzy also but the sounds works great. The first game i tried was deBlob, so it threw me off at first thinking that the game was ment to be in black and white. lol Anywho, i am using USB loader, ill have to check and see what version i am using when i get home, but i just installed it a few weeks ago.

Black and white with flipping screens or wavy lines means out-of-region game. As you say the game is PAL, I presume your Wii is NTSC. Go to settings and select FORCE NTSC.

I believe, I'm using version 686. Is there a later version? and if so, is it just loading the appropriate WAD files and use HBC?

As someone else has already stated there is a newer rev and the link he gave will tell you how to upgrade USB Loader GX on the top of the screen. I don't think it should have anything to do with the WAD files... unless I missunderstand you meaning.
