    Error ret = - 1

    Hi there,

Another Newbie here with a problem
Searched the forum for a while now but can't find an answer,so hope someone could help.

I try to run wads on my U.S Wii,
I installed the Homebrew Channel and WAD Manager 1.4 and both seem to run nicely !

But when I try to load some wads from my SD Card i always get the ERROR ret = - 1 !

What does it mean and why do the wads not show up or run ?

Do I need something else on my SD card ?

My Wii is Ver.4.0u,and is Chip modded !

Wads are region free,so I am really not sure where the problem is.

Any help or if someone could link me to a post were an answer is would be highly appreciated !

    Thanks

Have you got the wads located in the wads folder?

    i.e.

    sd:\wad
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

    Thanks for your reply !
Yes,I have put them into that folder !
But the do not show up.

If I am in Wad Manager,I can chose between 4 options, the first is SD card..,so I chose that for SD. Then something tries to mount and then the error appears !

My Wii is not connected to the internet,

I used the Hackmii installer but I couldn't install Bootmii as boot2 or even install it as an IOS.
    The rest was successful !

I have some problems to download some other files that are hostet on Mediafire dot com, since I live here in China this site is blocked
I was wondering if the problem is because of my SD card ,in another threat here
New 3.1-4.1 Softmod for ANY Wii

I read about a tool that cold help format my card, but I can't get it too (Mediafire)
Tor doesen't work anymore from here so it's hard to use a proxy to get that stuff !

It's true that support for SD cards is a little bit patchy in homebrew, although it's not normally a problem in wad manager. Try another differrent SD card to test this hypothesis.

Maybe try an older wad manager such as 1.3 or 1.4, one that didn't have nand emulation options might be another way forward.

Thanks Tealc for your time and help, really appreciate it !
Feel a bit lost here in the moment with that !

I was just wondering,if it is a problem with the SD card, shouldn't it be from the beginning ?
I mean..I used this SD card to put the Homebrew Channel on my Wii and the Wii accepted it !

It's a bit late here here already,I will try your suggestion with the older versions of wad manager tomorrow !

Hope you are still around then !
