external HDD question

im going to fetch 1 today and i was wondering what format it needs to be in and what programs to use,

you'll be formatting it to wbfs and you can do that through your computer with something like wbfs manager or through the wii itself through a usb loader. if you want to use it for more than just games you'll want to look up how to partition it to make it act as two seperate drives as wbfs isn't recognized by windows.

it sounds kinda dumb i know but i cant think of another use for it lol.
