    Error installing CoverFloader

    Hello,

I am following this video to install CoverFloader onto my Wii:

I am having trouble starting the coverfloader app, after installing cIOS36 and WAD Manager (06:28).

Now, in case this is important, when I went to install cIOS36rev10 (05:54), it came up with error (ret= -1).

I assume this is because I have already installed it before, though I'm not 100% I remember performing a step at least similar to this a while ago.

So I skipped to the next step, installing WAD Manager 1.4 (06:12). I done this with no problems.

Whenever I go to open up cover floader, howvever, it starts to load and then gives me:

    Exception (DSI) occurred!

    STACK DUMP

    CODE DUMP

with lots of code in between.

If anyone can provide a solution I would be extremely grateful.

If there isn't a solution, is there any similar USB game loader software? If so, a good tutorial would be greatly appreciated!

Everything might be due to the -1 error you saw. That error code means can't find file. There a re a number of reasons for that such as SD card is not formatted correctly, SD can;t be read by that application, SD card is bad or SDHC, the file might truly be in the wrong place or the file could have been correupted during download or extraction.

So, eliminate that error and try to install cIOS36rev10 again.

    Thank you for your reply,

I believe I may have found the problem, my SD card is in fact SDHC. So SDHC isn't compatible with installing Coverfloader then? I know that one of the updates on the Wii made SDHC a readable format, but I guess that doesn't apply when installing homebrew applications.

I will try another SD card, and post any results later, again thanks very much for your help!

EDIT: Got it working, thanks gen3sf! I didn't even need to install cIOSrev10, I simply used a different SD card. I feel stupid for not thinking of it myself =p
