    Fixed it.
Tried loads of ios etc, then decided to go through the loader settings on both wii's to see if there were any differences.
My wii had the video mode set to "console default"
My Bro's had it set to "disc default" or something along those lines. (I can't get to the Wii atthe mo)
He changed his settings and .......... well you know the rest.
Hope this helps someone else, and thanks for all your help too guys

    Unhappy Late reply, pls help

Hi all, TIA for the help..

I have all IOS renewed on my soft and hard modded Wii, i can play American Idol 2 through USB Loader GX, however, i want to play it with a disc (microphone function doesn't work when you use 1 usb port for HDD)
BUT, when i play the same game of the disc (picture is showing on the disc channel). I get the famous black screen...

I have a PAL Wii, and the game is NTSC, but that should not matter too much with the Hack right?

    ISO is brick blocker patched.

Is the "Black Screen" the same as the black screen that I get.... except mine says "An error has occurred..." but doesn't give an error code. I did the the ios patcher/scrubber thing and it said "ios37" and when it says enter a value of 3 or higher, i just put in 249. Scrubbed it and extracted it.

When I went into the homebrew channel I added the ios37 that had just extracted from the other program. Still got the black screen with same error.

I have a 3.4 and had just done the soft mod to it. I have not added anything else at all, this was the first thing I tried. Am I supposed to add other files(wads)?

    Thanks,
    Jimisand.

Would "wiibrickblocker" help with this issue? As I stated above, I did the wii scrubber..got the ios... then installed it, but still nothing. Thats why I thought that wiibrickblocker might help.

    Thanks,
    Jimisand
