alternate StarPatch install?

i'm trying to install the StarPatch hacks (for now, just the disc update and region free hacks) but getting an error message...

i can get into the hack screen, via bootmii, and select both disc update and region hacks but as soon as i hit apply, the screen goes black with some numbers and a 'data dump' message...

is there an alternate way to install these outside of the 4.2 hacking guide here?

use preladoer it is best. never use both

hmm...ok.... i'm assuming there is a guide somewhere here on how to remove StarPatch and the proper steps to install this??
