    --network installation is preferred.
    --apply hackmii_installer_v0.6

    -- yup. a 3-party wii-usb-internet-box is about $1x, for a wired connection.
-- wii console has built-in wireless internet connection.
3.)if i install homebrew channel, can i remove it in future????
    -- anytime,
4.)can i play online games after installing homebrew channels???
    -- absolutely possible
-- homebrew channel is a platform only. On there, applications apply for
    gaming and utilities

I upgraded from Nintendo site to 4.2e then used the step by step guide in this site to do everything you are asking. It is in a sticky at the top of the forums.
There is a lot of old messages about not upgrading. These were posted before the newer instructions came out.
I went very carefully , step by step, through the instructions and everything work perfectly.
As for internet connections, all Wii (as mentioned above) come with wireless LAN capability. Go to settings on the Wii and look for interenet, set up a wireless connection to your internet box (adsl router ?) and you'll be able to browse the Internet - do this before anything else (my suggestion anyway).
