    Ca help

    hello:

I am new here and have been trying to read as much as possible, i think i am way over my head because alot of stuff doesnt make sense to me. I had a wii 3.4u I tried to load all the files i was told to load and it and it kept coming up cannot open boot.dol i read some where that in hackmii you had to click on installer.elf and rename it to boot.elf when I looked all over the net and could not find installer.elf. 2 days ago our wii asked us to update so we did now it says 4.2 when i try to put my sd card and and go through the steps nothing shows up. I feel really stupid but could someone please help and ol lady fix this mess

    thank you soooo much

If you download that rar file just un-rar it directly onto a formatted SD card [formatted in fat32] and all those folders should be there. I just downloaded it myself to double check, and all files and folders listed are right there.

To tell you the truth i'm not sure, lol. You are accessing the card right from the main page of the system menu right? You can try loading it by going into the Wii icon then, then wii data [i don't have the wii anywhere near me so i don't remember the sequence of the menus] then channels, once your in channels near the top of the screen you should see it says "Wii - SD Card" Click on SD card and see what happens. There is nothing else but the files from that RAR on your SD card right?

i tried both ways first from the sd it came up about the scam and i said yes then came up neither/boot,dol nor/boot.elf could be found, i tried through data management and nothing happened. bannerbomb was in one of the squares but would not do anything this is the problem i had before i updated it kept saying boot.elf or boot.dol could not open

    give this a whirl BootMii.org

Then click on the "bannerbomb" link [make sure to pick the 4.2 link after you click the bannerbomb link]

Then, if that does what it has to do go here BootMii.org

Definately make sure you install BootMii into boot2 not as IOS [as an IOS you can't restore a backup]

    See how that works.

[If all that works and you get BootMii installed properly, make sure you do a backup of your NAND and store that file in a very safe place]

Just read everything carefully and you should be fine. If this doesn't work, i am out of options. And for that I'm sorry
